Nilu was a little girl who loved collecting shiny leaves in the garden. One day, she found a golden leaf under the Bodhi tree.

It sparkled in the sunlight. She held it and said, “This is my leaf. I will never let it go!”

Suddenly… the leaf whispered, “Little one, I came from the tree. I don’t belong to you.”

“Will you be sad when I fly away with the wind?” the leaf asked. “Yes,” Nilu said quietly.

The wind blew gently… and the leaf flew away. Nilu watched it closely.

At first, Nilu felt sad. But then she smiled. “I let it go… and I still feel okay.”
